So, Seed Woman, impatient and somewhat discouraged, tried a second time. Seed Woman placed the purple algae closer to the salty waters. Aware of the harshness of the sun, she splashed water on them every day to keep them moist. She began to sing a song from her heart envisioning a new land above the flowing waters. Starbird joined in the chorus and both of them sang day and night to these little plants. Nevertheless — again the purple algae crawled back into the cool waters for life. Seed Woman was exhausted and disappointed.
An internal spirit told her to try one more time.
For the third time, Seed Woman began her ritual of pouring water on the delicate algae and singing a song from her heart. Empathizing with Seed Woman’s plight, Starbird called another baby Starbird to join them. She hoped all three singing together would create the sacred sound to transform the purple algae to survive.
All night long, under the Stars and Moon, the threesome sang and danced with the plants. Inspired by their collective imaginations, Baby Starbird, Starbird and Seed Woman sang many more songs, and always with the same music of Earth sounds repeating over and over again. And then — as if by magic — the small slippery plants began to transform to the color of Emerald Green. Chlorophyll, the green of the world, came alive. Green became the energy and food for the plants to live outside the water and produce seeds that would repeat the cycle of life over and over again. The transformation of the algae was complete. All three rejoiced in seeing the new life.
The Sun came up over the horizon. The magical chanting song changed the water plants to become suitable and thrive in their new environment. Rays of the Sun entered the little green algae and made an electron burst of dancing energy … just like the Dance of Seed Woman … that produced sugar, giving them nutrients to continue life and grow more cells together. New and different plants were born on planet Earth.
Pine trees began to grow and then the flowers. The first flower was an Amborella, a very small white flower. Different plants propagated and spread their seeds over the burgeoning land. More oxygen produced by the trees filled the air. Tall trees provided shade protecting new types of plant growth. Microbial organisms enriched the soil. Mushrooms popped out of this humus-filled organic soil. Life above the waters began to emerge and prosper and become even more beautiful.
